Right to participate

Participants with disabilities are welcome to take part in the marathon, in accordance with their physical abilities and while respecting all safety protocols.

Registration and categorization

• All participants from this category must register in advance via email bokeskimaraton@gmail.com and indicate the type of support or assistance they need.

Escort and assistance

• Participants can be accompanied in the form of a guide, assistant or cyclist, depending on the needs.
• The escort must be registered with the organizer and wear an official label.
• Visually impaired and blind runners may use a guide with a tether or another method of assistance.

Using aids

• Wheelchairs, prostheses and other orthopedic aids are permitted.

Special awards and recognitions

• The organizer will provide special categories and medals for participants with disabilities.

Responsibility and consent

• All participants participate at their own risk and are required to sign a statement releasing the organizer from liability.
• Minor participants must have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Starting zones were introduced for safe and organized start of the race, to avoid crowds and allow all participants to run at a pace that suits their abilities.
Zones are arranged by estimated race finish time which each participant indicated when registering. Faster runners are located in the front zones, while recreational and slower participants are located in the back zones.

Elite runners and those who have proven results from another certified marathon or half marathon start from ELITE zones or zone A, while the other participants enter the Zone B, C or D according to its category.

You can enter the starting zones from 08.00 to 08.45, when all inputs are closed.

The starting zone of each participant will be clearly marked. indicated on the start number (bib), and security guard service will control entry and respect for assigned zones.
Failure to follow the rules and entering the wrong zone on your own initiative may result in disqualification.

Start Zone Selection: During registration, participants choose their start zone based on their estimated finish time.

Estimated time: Competitors should enter realistic forecast time which will allow them to choose the appropriate starting zone and ensure a safe and efficient start to the race.

Change of starting zone:

Changing the starting zone after registration is possible with the organizer's approval, but must be done before registration closes. Change is not possible on race day. To change the starting zone, you need to contact the organizer via email bokeskimaraton@gmail.com

Important:

Please enter your realistic expected running time when registering, as this is the basis for determining the starting zones. Incorrect information may lead to unnecessary crowds and disrupt the course of the race and the conditions for other participants.

Competitors who do not adhere to their chosen starting zone may be disqualified as such behavior disrupts the organization and jeopardizes the experience of other runners.

• Bib number with automatic timing chip
• Functional – Dri-FIT – T-shirt
• A unique medal at the end of the race
• Refreshments (water, isotonic drinks, fruit) on the course and at the finish line, and in the race bag
• A thermal blanket after the race to maintain body temperature

• Cloakroom for storing belongings during the race (with your bib number marked)
• Certificate (downloadable online as PDF)
• Online results, including absolute and category ranking
• Event program / route map
• Voucher for the pasta party before the race, where 2 types of pasta and water are served

• Restroom facilities at the start, finish line and at each refreshment station
• ⁠Medals and cash prizes for first place absolutely
• ⁠Medals and sponsor awards for first place winners in each category

• When registering, competitors are required to enter accurate personal data, identical to those from official document (passport or ID card).
• Logging in under a nickname is not allowed.
• Compete must report under the flag of the country whose they have citizenship. 
• If the data is incorrect, it will not be possible to pick up the starting number.

Applications close when reaches the competitor limit. If the limit is not reached, registrations for the marathon, half marathon, 10 km race and 5 km fun run will close. 15.11.2026 at 23:59.
For example, on September 24, 2026 at 9:56 PM, the registration of the 3,000th competitor for the half marathon was completed by paying the entry fee. After the planned capacity is filled, the registration system automatically closes and no further registrations are possible.

• Data modification or replacement of registered participant it is possible to 01.12.2026. at 23:59 with an administrative fee of 10 €. To change the data, you need to send an email to the organizer.
• The size of the shirt in the starter pack can be changed in the case of transfer of the starting number if the transfer of the starting number to another person is carried out no later than 1.11.2026. Otherwise, the shirt size remains the same.

• It is possible to transfer the registration to another race with additional difference if the entry fee for the new race is higher. In the event that the entry fee for the race to which the registration is transferred is lower, the difference in price is not refundable.
• Participation under someone else's starting number is prohibited and results disqualification and a ban on participation in future editions of the marathon.

• Friday 11.12.2026. from 10.00 to 20.00
• Saturday 12.12.2026. from 10.00 to 20.00
  Pick up your start numbers for the Supplement Store 5k, 10km Race and Bokeška Mile – from 10.00 to 13.00
• Sunday 13.12.2026. from 06.00 to 7.00
  Place: TBA
  Starting numbers are being downloaded personally, with mandatory presentation of a valid personal document.
  Unable to authorize another person to collect your starting number.
  It is not permitted to collect multiple start numbers from a person who is already a registered race participant.
  If a participant withdraws from the competition, another person can pick up his/her starter pack, but not the starting number.

Withdrawal before the race:

• Participants are not required to inform the organizer about their withdrawal.
• Paid registration fees are non-refundable.
• Participants can request transfer your application to another person no later than 1 December 2026, with a fee of €10.

Quitting during the race:

• Participants who do not feel capable of finishing the race may contact volunteers or the medical team along the course.
• The organizer may disqualify a participant if it is determined that their health condition does not allow them to continue the race.

Refunds and reimbursement:

• Registration fees are non-refundable, except in the event of race cancellation by the organizer.
• In case of race cancellation due to severe weather, emergency situations, or force majeure, the organizer may offer the option of transferring the registration fee to the following year or to another running event.
• If the race is postponed to a new date, the registration remains valid and a refund is not possible.
• The organizer is not responsible for travel and accommodation expenses in the event of race cancellation or date change.

EVENT CANCELLATION IN CASE OF EXTREME CONDITIONS

In the event of cancellation of the Boka Marathon for justified reasons (force majeure, security or weather conditions), the entry fees paid will be refunded. they don't return, already are automatically transferred to subsequent editions of the event.

Transferring in progress gradually, depending on capacity and organizational capabilities:

• part of the registered participants will be carried over to next year,
  
• the remaining part will be spread over subsequent releases, until all participants have used their participation.

The organizer will notify all participants in a timely manner about the dynamics of the transfer and the year in which their participation will be activated.

This decision may be made prior to the start of the race if conditions are deemed unsafe. In such a case, all participants will be notified in a timely manner via email, social media, and the official website.
